End All – Warm beer metal from Japan
End All is a Tokyo based metal band that has been around for a couple of years, but released its debut album only this year. It’s called Hop Thrash Jump and as you can see by the cover, the members like beer. A lot.
But unlike that guy from such an early song beer doesn’t make the members of End All feel mellow. At all.
They play at break neck speed, driven by Satoshi Tanaka’s throbbing bass and the manic drums of the guy known to me only as Shige. Takahiro Umino’s fiery guitar is lightning bolt accompanied by Tanaka’s dark screaming voice. Raw and uncompromising yet rather melodic and with a nice funky rhythm to counter all that sonic violence. Their sound is aggressive, but it’s a really warm sound too.
Good music for running, or for going to war. For feeling manly, opening a beer to wash away the insipid taste of Baby Metal or whatever else feminized society concocts to bereave us of our testicles and domesticise us.
Buy this cd for it’s one of the best of the year. Like their Facebookpage, follow them on Twitter. They tweet a lot of photos of themselves trying to look mean but with only very limited success. They seem to be darlings. They know however, as you can see in the video, to throw a good party. For men.
