New EP by Remigai and it’s great!
The album ‘Fenestica‘ by Japanese band Remigai was my favorite album of last year.
Remigai has a new EP out with five beautiful songs, sung by the celestially voiced Aya Fukaya (who was actually named by her parents after the Steely Dan album ‘Aja‘), that are as intricate, melodious, folksy and funky as everything on ‘Fenestica‘, only this time their sound is complemented by the horns of the Nakamura High School Brass Band, giving it a surprising extra dimension.
The album is called ‘Giant‘ and you can buy it here. (PB)
