Pälfèt: noisy steampunk boudoir ladies

There’s two bands I’m absolutely NUTS about at the moment, although they both don’t have an album out yet or even a decent video or audio recording. One is Falsettos, the other Pälfèt.

Pälfèt is a trio of ladies dealing in an eclectic mix of all sorts of underground noise rock. Rather capricious and quite intelligent. They like theatrics too, dressing up like they’re from some steam-punk Alice-in-Wonderland boudoir in Berlin. They like to babble in faux European languages in between songs too, as you can see and hear in this registration of some recent gig.

The above video seems to be a trailer for a gig they had last year in a club in Shibuya, Tokyo. I find it very intriguing.

Judging from the pictures they posted on their Twitter account, Pälfèt is busy recording something, so we might soon be able to buy their first CD.

Oh, and they just posted their first proper video which, unfortunately, shows nothing but fruit. (PB)
