つるつるの壷
Lately I’ve been studying Rolling Stone Japan’s ‘100 Greatest Japanese Rock Albums of All Time‘ and Inu’s Meshi Kuu na is among my absolute favorites.
A melodious, aggressive, sultry punk/new wave thing that’s even a little funky at times. Not your average punk group with four guys barely knowing how to hold a guitar or what to do with those drumsticks.
These people know what they’re doing, yet they keep it thoroughly authentic.
The band’s leader, Kou Machida, is a poet and a writer with several award winning books to his name. (PB)
