Especia, actually an intelligent idol-group
I was stunned to learn that Especia is considered an idol group, usually a pack of bimbo sex dolls singing disposable pop songs and being stalked by deranged fans. Especia, however, deals in well-written, smooth, funky, jazzy songs performed by top-notch musicians that work like aloe vera on a sun-burned skin.
They had a sparklingly fresh album out two years ago, Gusto, a new album earlier this year, Carta, and this here song, Savior, is from their new EP Mirage, which you can listen to here for free.
Islamophobic assholes may throw a fit seeing the singer on the beach wearing what looks like a a hijab and with her face covered (another contrast with the usually scantily clad damsels in other idol-groups), just when in Europe a violent battle is going on to ban the burkini. Many Japanese cover themselves up on the beach of in the swimming-pool, wearing what looks like a cyclist’s outfit. Not for religious reasons, but to avoid getting sun-burned and risking skin cancer.
Time to get rid of your eurocentric obsessive–compulsive disorder, fellas. But this has nothing to do with Especia. (PB)
