New song by Izumi Makura

Rapper Izumi Makura has a new song out and it’s not a track from her latest album Yuki to Suna, which is a good album, go take a listen.

Apparently this song, ‘Paruko demo Roiho demo rabuho demo ii yo‘ (‘Either Parco, the Royal Host or a love hotel is fine’) is the theme song for a retrospective exhibition in Shibuya, Tokyo of the work of writer/artist Oshima Tomoko, apparently the man behind the anime-like character which is the avatar of the mysterious Izumi Makura.

I like the song a lot, the video, shot by Yuichiro Fujishiro who let himself be inspired by an image from the exhibition, is deep and beautiful so enjoy. (PB)
