Too much women
I’m really enthousiastic about Spanish rapper C. Tangana so here’s another video by him, full of Spanish Catholicism and Spanish women. “Demasiadas Mujeres” this song is called but I don’t think there is such a thing as too much women. I wouldn’t mind being the sole male survivor of a man-killing virus, like in Y The Last Man, Brian K. Vaughn’s comic series soon to be made into a television series. I think I’d be very happy. The women not so much, I think. But hey.
Tangana has made videos for all the songs on his excellent album El Madrileño, on which he co-operates with various famous artists from the world of Latin music, like the Gypsie Kings and Pepe Blanco. The videos all have an unmistakable Spanish atmosphere, from the typical Spanish house interiors to the suburban bars, rundown and outdated. Images from a Spain that is about to get extinct, although Spanish artists like Rosalía and C. Tangana seem more bent on preserving Spanish authenticity than North-European artists.
