New Gezan is an ode to Tokyo
Hardcore punk metal noise rappers Gezan are holding back in their new song Tokyo, an ode to that great city, or a criticism, I’m not sure, because I’ve been trying to interpret the lyrics and suspect it might just be a bunch of pseudo-poetic phrases.
Although this seems reasonably clear:
While nobody is a happy
A loop of contempt
That homeless dad
Where did he disappear to?
Anyway, some contemplative rap noise rock for you, loyal reader, by a great Japanese band that nobody knows here in Europe. Their latest album Silence Will Speak is brilliant, one of my favorites of the past years, I love to run to some of the tracks. Keep me going. (PB)
