Osees: The ideal soundtrack for the war against corporate fascism
I thought that modern American punk consisted Green Day, so I have always ignored it. Why have y’all kept Osees (formerly The Oh Sees, and Thee Oh Sees) a secret for me? The Californian band is already 19 years old and churned out the staggering amount of 26 albums in that time. Its latest album, A Foul Form, is an aggressive attack on the senses that lasts 22 minutes that leaves you full of sound and fury, ready to wage war.
The ideal soundtrack for these current times of corporate fascism and neo-liberal puppet regimes exploiting us like we’re a natural resource, cattle to be herded to the slaughterhouse with cow prods. Get you fired up for the resistance. “Hey, you, hiding in the shadows, looking through your fingers, holding in your breath / Wishing you had some power to break the walls down built inside your head.” (PB)
