Sunny melancholia on a gloomy election day

Why? Because I like this fragile song and the video makes me long for summer and for Japan. It’s an election day today in Holland and God has made a statement by adorning this day with chilly, foggy, grey and gloomy weather.

You see, the choice is basically between racist parties that want to cut budgets and racist parties that don’t want to cut budgets as a matter of principle, but that will ’take responsibility’ when push comes to shove and vote for the cutting of budgets anyway.

Song’s called ‘愛し合い 感じ合い 眠り合う’ (‘Love each other, feel each other, sleep each other’) and it’s by a Japanese guitar trio from the nineties, Sunny Day Service, which made a comeback last year with a very nice album, ‘Sunny‘.

‘Sunny’ was chosen one of the best albums of 2014 by Beehype.
